Ethan Vogt is a creative producer and filmmaker based in New York City.
Most recently, Ethan produced "Bring to Light: Nuit Blanche New York 2010" a new annual festival of light and projection art in collaboration with DoTank:Brooklyn -+*.
He specializes in large-scale audio / visual events in public space or performance venues outside of traditional movie theaters in partnership with musicians or as site-specific architectural installations. As a VJ, he has performed with: Franz Ferdinand, The Fiery Furnaces, Guster, and The Lovely Sparrows at the SXSW festival. His short film "Live Projections Volume One" premiered in the 2010 Marfa Film Festival.
Ethan is the the frequent collaborator of writer / director Andrew Bujalski, having produced his three feature films "Funny Ha Ha" (2003), "Mutual Appreciation" (2005), and "Beeswax" (2009) which premiered in the Berlin Film Festival and was released in theater within the United States and Internationally. Ethan's photographs, "Set Stills," have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines including the New York Times and Esquire, and the book "Take 100" by Phaidon Press.
